AS Roma Reported to Sack New Manager After Just Four Games in Charge

Earlier this season, the AS Roma top brass baffled the Serie A and football community by sacking Daniele de Rossi just four games into the season. Now, they have their eyes on removing his replacement Ivan Juric.

Three points from four matches were deemed sufficient reason for the Roma management to part ways with a manager who had salvaged their 2023/24 season by leading them into the Europa League. This decision was especially surprising given de Rossi‘s status as one of the club’s greatest players.

Juric has had a decent start to his tenure at the Olimpico, with two wins, one draw, and one loss so far as AS Roma boss.

However, CorSport (as quoted by Italian Football TV on X) have reported that Roma want to sack Juric, if he fails to beat Monza this weekend.

Juric has come under pressure following Roma’s 1-0 loss in the Europa League to Swedish side IF Elsborg. CorSport also reported that the club is planning for a surprising return of de Rossi.
