GXR World, the platform that streams live La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1 matches for free in India recently stopped working. Last week, users reported that the GXR World website was not opening and that its link could not be found online either.
Although GXR World did not made a public statement regarding the issue, fans of three of the world’s biggest football leagues in India were worried about where they could watch their favorite teams play.
The application seemed to be stuck on its loading screen, and their domain, ‘gxr.world’, displayed a “This site can’t be reached” error when searched online. This led to many discussing whether the website for GXR World not working was a temporary glitch or a permanent issue.
Thankfully, ahead of Real Madrid’s game against Valencia on Friday 3rd January 2025, the issue seemed to be resolved.
Has GXR World Stopped Working?
La Liga, the most watched league on the GXR World platform, was on a winter break. However, some fans wanted to catch Serie A action last Saturday.
Cagliari played Inter, and Lazio hosted Atalanta—two matches that would normally have been streamed seamlessly for free on the GXR World website. Unfortunately, fans were unable to access the GXR World service. Additionally, the GXR World website link was not found on Google, sparking concerns about the website not working.
It isn’t working today but @GXR_World is so BAD when it works anyway. Swiggy ads on the screen in the middle of the matches ffs! Who does that?!
If LaLiga, Serie A, etc. want regular watching in India, they have to stick with good regular broadcasters like PL, UCL, UEL, etc. do.

The biggest surprise was that GXR World did not comment on the issue, leaving fans in the dark. Since GXR World remained silent, fears were starting to creep in that there could be something irreversibly wrong.
Where to watch La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1
This was a question fans were pondering when the 2024/25 season began, with most tuning in to see if Jio Cinema still held the rights. They didn’t, and many were shocked.
But then, GXR World, a Dubai-based platform, came to the rescue. They announced that they would stream the three leagues completely free and soon introduce regional languages to tap deeper into the markets.
Sources also stated that GXR World was positioned to become India’s largest football streaming platform, a title held for years by Hotstar and SONY LIV.
Thankfully, with the platform appearing to work seamlessly for now, it looks as though GXR World will be showing Real Madrid vs. Valencia and all subsequent La Liga matches, just as it did before. A breath of relief for all those who were worried—admittedly, including us over at Eleventh Minute.
