Things keep going from bad to worse for Real Madrid. A humiliating 4-0 defeat at home to Barcelona wasn’t enough; now the record European Champions have lost 3-1 to AC Milan in front of a shell-shocked and furious Santiago Bernabeu. Madridistas didn’t hide their frustration on social media either, including Mina Bonino, Fede Valverde’s wife.
During the game, fans were all over the internet, bashing manager Carlo Ancelotti, for his questionable tactics and substitutions. On X (formerly Twitter), one fan wrote, “When are they going to understand once and for all that Fede isn’t a winger?”
Bonino, an active voice on social media defended Valverde from another attacking Real Madrid fan who blamed him for letting Alvaro Morata score the second goal of the night.
“Fede plays his best football as a central midfielder. When are they going to f***ing understand that he isn’t a winger?” she wrote.
Ancelotti, who was bombarded with questions surrounding Real Madrid’s horror show at the Bernabeu once again, also had to share his thoughts on what Bonino stated.

She had also blasted the Italian boss for taking him off, something fans couldn’t quite get their head around.
“Regarding what people say on social media… it’s very complicated for me. I took him off because he wasn’t at 100%. He has been dealing with back issues,” said Ancelotti in the press conference.

Ancelotti, for the first time since re-joining Real Madrid in 2021, finds himself on the brink of losing his job, as per some reports. If Madrid fails to beat Liverpool in their next UCL fixture, he could very well be shown the exit door.
